There are many digital camera review sites out there. These sites often never even look at the camera.
They basically look at another review online and write their review of the camera.
Well I own the Nikon D80. I purchased it. I wasn’t given the camera to review it. I wanted the Nikon D80 so I went out and bought it. I did get an excellent price on the D80, but none-the-less I purchased it.
I am not a professional photographer although I am pretty well versed in the amateur arena of photography. What I base my reviews of digital cameras on is how I like it and how the pictures came out. Was it easy to use?
So, my review of the Nikon D80 (from an actual owner):
The Nikon D80 out of the box looks and feels good. The screen looks bigger than I remember in the store. It came with a battery to which I quickly put on the charger that also came with it. I play around with it a bit until the battery is done being charged. I put the SD card that I got free with my purchase. I start snapping. The D80 from Nikon is very easy to use.
Later that night after I take a few hundred pictures I take the cable that came with it and plug it into my tv. I easily am viewing a slideshow of my pictures! It is sweet. My family that was over for a picnic were very impressed. So far so good.
The pictures look great. The Nikon D80 for the price is a great camera. Easy to use and impressive. If you are looking at taking the step to this camera I encourage you to take the jump!
