Hi Gordon the kit lens that came with my Canon 60D a EFS 18-135MM I wanted to know is this lens any good…if not what lens should I upgrade to. I got this camera to shoot video and I am looking for a lens that shoots good fast moving and one that will shoot in low light.

@DervishLongboarder15 just one.

@Whatisright It’s important for nature photographers and macro photographers to avoid animals / insects being disturbed by the noise.

Whatisright on January 27th, 2011, 2:17 pm

@Buhzie15 I know. It certainly on’t make me feel the need to spend an extra $250+ on any lens so it sounds nice.

Buhzie15 on January 27th, 2011, 3:11 pm

@Whatisright agreed. it’s not so terrible as people complain it is.

As the saying goes, buy bodies, but invest in glass.

cameralabs on January 27th, 2011, 5:54 pm

@mrsalas95 You need to turn off stabilisation when mounted on a tripod.

mrsalas95 on January 27th, 2011, 6:34 pm

i dont understand, why did you said youll need Stabilization for long exposures, such as blurring a waterfall, since in you other reviews, you said Stabilization adds movement that is not there for compensating movement that doesnt exist for long exposures, its not a bad critique, i just have the question.

If you buy a lens hood seperatly will it fit all the lenses or just for one type. I mean for all canon lenses

JonathanMartone on January 27th, 2011, 9:42 pm

He shouldn’t hold the camera up in front of his face. The camera is in sharp focus, but his face is blurred. It might be just me, but that’s annoying

salanka on January 27th, 2011, 10:16 pm

Well, like most of the kit lens owners, I’m thinking in upgrading. But I don’t know what to buy. If the EF-S 17-55 or the EF 17-40… I’ve been reading reviews for some months now but I still have lots of doubts :- Can you help me? Thanks
