which is better this cannon or nikon s8000?

@btherr01 Bigger memory chip. I can easily shoot 10 minute vids and longer with my Power Shot. I have a 8 GB memory card in it.

Nice camera! I only use Canon and I have 3 of them. I shoot all of my vids. with my SD1100 Power Shot 8mp. I like my PowerShot so much that I bought another one. My first Canon was a Power Shot A 410 3.2mp. I still use it.

Hey DJWaffels123, Do you work with cameras or work in the Nikon? I don’t sell cameras like you, and I don’t have a problems in express my opinion about a product that I bought and don’t work well. If you want defend the NIKON it is your problem. If you don’t listen the constant noise it is your problem. I pay for this Nikon S8000 and I want that the camera works. If you want listen the noise, you can verify the problem in all videos in the youtube. Thanks for your cordially education.

what is the name of the new model ?

I bought this camera, but realised that when making movies the audio has a constant pitched noise in high frequences. And I ask myself: why is there the choice to have stereo, if there is a noise stereo? Why the seller tried to convince me that this sound is normal for this kind of cameras. I had a Pentax Optio E35, lower quality and lower price than the Nikon S8000 and this noise doesn’t exist. The Nikon S8000 is a camera for photo, but not for videos. I really feel fooled. Thank you Nikon.

hey.. does anyone know y whn i record videos using this cam, it stop recording just after ony 20 sec… btw my memory is a 8G and it was empty at the time i started recording the video

Just got this camera today and so far I LOVE it! The zoom is unreal, the lowlight conditions are great, and the pictures come out really well:)
