Question by violet: I recorded a video on my Canon EOS SLR Camera and I uploaded the video onto my computer.?
I recorded a video on my Canon EOS SLR Camera and I uploaded the video onto my computer. When I watched the video the sound was fine but the picture kept skipping. I wanted to upload some videos onto youtube of myself singing but I was wondering how to upload it so it doesn’t keep skipping like that.

When using a DSLR camera for filming a video make sure you have a fast CF Card the following one is fast and good. The speed of the card is good as it is 30 MB/s and will allow for a better buffering when it is loaded on to the card from the camera.

SanDisk SDCFH-004G-A11 4GB 30MB/s ULTRA CF Card

As I was looking around I found that YouTube has some training videos on their site I hope this helps:

If you have an older computer, and you’re shooting high defintion video from your canon slr, then its very possible that your computer is not capable of playing high defintion video. I’ve had the exact same thing happen to a friend when they had this problem, the sound was OK but the video skipped.

I would suggest looking for a new graphics card if you can afford it. I know the newer Nvidia cards (not sure about ATI) have special technologies to help with high definition video playback.

Totally, I met the same problem before. It looks good in camera but after you play the MOD file the video become skipping. I heard that is because it is HD video so some players can not deal it very well. But I also tried to convert it to normal format like AVI or WMV. I think the converted video looks much better.

I am using moyea mod converter. I think you maybe want to try. It is a shareware, I suggest you to use the free trial version before you purchase it. Hope will help.
