Is this lens compatible
With a Nikon D5000
Ah, I see now that the link is pointed to the review of the VRII on the website, maybe that’s why I can’t seem to find it then.
I just found this clip after looking at the VRII-version first, and hearing about being able to do comparison between this lens and the Sigma fex I went to your website, but I can’t seem to find the comparison between the other lenses and the Nikkor, could you point me in the direction of these?
Thank You!

@sga4life The 50mm f1.4 would allow blurred backgrounds, but also see my tutorial on blurring action shots at dslrtips . com…
Hi Gordon! Im thinking of buying a second lens next to my 18-55mm kitlens. I mostly use my D5000 to shoot photos of supercars, so carspotting. What would be the most accurate lens for this kind of photography, a zoom lens or a fixed lens like lets say the 50mm 1.4? I want to get cars in the center with a blurred background, so that the car is pictured very sharp. Does anyone know what lens i should go for? Thank you very much!!
I bought the nikon d-3000 and i dont which lens would be good for like people swimming and parties, do you have an idea of which lens i shoulb buy?
can this lens fit in d5000?
@akshay03 are you talking about the one on the lens or the af type such as single, servo or continuous?
@AZNFlipy12 No, it doesn’t.
bit (dot) ly (slash) cF5pGT
It stands for “autofocus single-servo” to be precise.
@xXxmidgexXx The lens talking” OMG i hope that mysterious thing doesnt happen again…NO NOT THE 100MM MARKK EEEEEE I MELTINGG AHHHHH!!!”
@akshay03 actually the s stands for Silent Wave Motor
hello, how do i know if this lens works on the d5000?, and how can i know taht about other lenses?, thank you.
Will this lens work on a d500 body? I’m planing to get one. thanks!
@ziceholidays AF-S stands for “autofocus single,” so yes.
@codeoverride I’m fairly positive that is normal. It’s just a noise that is produced when VR is engaged. It wont make the noise when the VR is off. My lens and many other do the same. It’s normal and you’ve got nothing to worry about!
hi i am a great fan of cameralabs… the only site that makes sense for a amateur. i need your help tho. i would be buying DSLR for the first time. I am planning for the Nikon D5000 + AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR II Lens. Can you please let me know if this is a good buy. ALSO i have a doubt on Autfocus.
