Nikon D300 price and review on
nikon d300 price .net
hello om upgrading like the person below
im upgrading from a d60 (i know it has nothing to do wiv the video but you guys are called “what digital camera” so i thought it would be a good idea to ask you guys)
what camera would you recommend to upgrade from less than £800
thanks
My name is Mike from LA Although there busizz4me.info
im upgrading and i cant decide between the nikon d7000 or the d300, should i spend more on the newer camera or save money on the older camera.
I am to buy one in a few months, if D400 comes so i’m going to save for the D400
@WhatDigitalCamera Thanks for the response.
Assuming they were the same price… D200 or D90 ?

Respond to this video… PS: Both cameras have Aperture Priority (and other modes) accessed by pressing the mode button on the top and rotating the thumb wheel.
@eLiTea5Sa5SIN I doubt you would even find a new D200 now, it was discontinued ages ago. I can’t tell you if the D300 is worth £400 more, because its all relative. It might be to you, if you need the extra resolution and features. Also £400 is a bigger deal to some people than others. The D200 is a great camera which produces good pictures in most conditions for prints up to A4. Its not as fast, or good in low light, as the D300 though.
Couple of questions about the D300.
1.is it worth £400 more than the D200?
2.in the video the D200 looks slightly beefier-is it really?
3.(this one is probably silly) Does the D300 and the D200 both have aperture priority modes and if so how do you access them
Thank you for your help

@WhatDigitalCamera thanks very much, i misread the video title. But thanks very much, i’ve come back here for a lot of camera reviews, thanks for all your help!
@blaze117 The D300S is an updated version of the D300, with 720p video added. It is a new camera, not a firmware update. The D3000 does not do video, and there is no D3000S model
@WhatDigitalCamera So does the new update work for all D3000′s to record video? sorry i really could not follow your comment

D300 is built for a Semi-Pro or enthusiast? photographer. What for if an enthusiast photographer have so called “user friendly scene modes”. I considered my self as an Enthusiast photographer. I know everything about my SLR. Taking night portrait, landscape, close up or etc would be that hard for me.
i think d90
@ilovetyping behind you to light the subject from the front
The P mode beats all scene modes in all areas… the scene modes are more than unecessary even for amteurs. Well thats my opinion as a photographer but i realize different photographers have different opinions. But i would recommend the D90 as well because the D90 and D300 are very similliar in performance and quality. The d300 is onlt faster.
