Nikon has finally “corrected” the horrible D200 banding fiasco. Good! If the image quality is OK (no banding etc.), I’ll buy it soon. So far, I’ve been happy with my excellent D70s, which I love.

All of this is speculation by people who probably know about what I know. Nothing. I do know that whatever Nikon comes out with will be better than what is now in the marketplace. As to when that will happen, who knows? In the meantime, if you don’t have a camera and are waiting to get a DSLR, buy a little point and shoot with a high pixel count. The 10 megapixel models do very well with everything but straight lines. In fact, their capabilities are quite amazing.
