Video Capture at HD 720p – none of the other models at this price point offer video at all, let alone HD video.
LCD is 2.7″ and features Live View, which compact digital photographers will be very comfortable with.
Image Quality meets all others in its category, and surpasses the others when ISO is increased above 800.
Burst rate of 4.7 frames per second permits for stop action images, again as good or better than its competitors.
HDR in-camera processing – High Dynamic Range is really increasing in popularity with photographers. This camea (unlike any other in its class) will combine 3 shots of diverse light values into one photo with rather good results.

The benefits are really impressive. And you can do all this with a Red, White or Blue camera. How patriotic.
