What are some of the smallest digital cameras out there right now?
Question by Over 9000: What are some of the smallest digital cameras out there right now?
I resent camera phones for their horrible quality and lack of features. What are some of the smallest digital cameras that I can bring with me everywhere? I am especially looking for one that can take good movies also, but that is not a necesity.

If you value and quality and features, you can’t be looking for a tiny “toy” camera because they won’t do a whole lot better than a camera phone.
You need to decide your priorities – tiny size or quality and usefulness….. never the twain shall meet.
I don’t think there are really small digital cameras in the market that meets your needs.
I know that you resent camera phones but you might want to reconsider. There are already 5MP and 8MP camera phones and they really work well. One of the first 5MP camera phones was the Nokia N95 Smartphone (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000WR81ZM/yoga089-20). I was able to use this phone for a year until I decided to give it to a sibling. I took a lot of wonderful photos using this phone and prints were wonderful and not pixilated.
Samsung Memoir (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B001TK2WVK/yoga089-20) is one of those high-powered camera phones available in the market today. Samsung phones are known to have good quality camera phones and their own Smartphone, the Omnia is also a technology beauty that has a 5MP camera.
I hope this helps in a way.
I have had the S1 & S2. This is a worthy upgrade. I did not think they would be able to imrpve the 10X optical zoom on the S1 without stepping up into a SLR model…then they came out with the 12X optical(S2 & S3).
I also love the wide angle lens. I can take a picture of a group of people in a living room without stepping way back! As far as I am conerned this is the best camera you can get without going to SLR.
The only thing I am bummed about is the size. It still is the same size(roughly) as the S1,S2,S3. I guess you can’t have your cake and eat it too. How else can they pack a powerful lens in a small package. If you want a pocket point and shoot, this is not the one.
