Well, If it’s the guy in the field then he’s the Photographer or Photog. They usually man the camera for live shots, and help reporters for taped bits as well as shooting video of their own for some stories. In some markets they will edit their video.
If it’s the guy in the studio behind the big studio cameras on their huge pedestals then it’ll be the Camera Operator.
