I want a canon EOS SLR. I want to try and find a great one! I have Rebel XS and I love it, but I want a film slr for my backup.

the beauty with film is, it doesnt matter, you’re recording onto film, not a CMOS or CCD sensor, so it doesnt matter what body you use, it depends more on the lens and the film you buy,

all camera bodies do two things, provide a light tight box, and a mount for the lens,

only differences would be motor drives and autofocus points,
