which is better? Canon or Nikon digital cameras??

Go with any of the Canon PowerShots that fit your budget. Buy one with the letters IS at the end. They have an image stabilizer for shaky hands; likewise one that you can set your own shutter speed instead of always leaving on auto.
Suggestion: Canon PowerShot A590 IS. 8 megapixels, 4X optical zoom. or a bit more expensive the Canon PowerShot A720 IS. It’s also 8 megapixels, 6X optical zoom. Both have image stabilizers.

Well, Kodak cameras SUCK.

And yeah Nikon is better

Are you trying to start a war hear? There is a big rivalry between the 2.
They both are top of the line names. Next time include the models and you will get more feed back.

NikonKodak are partnered, so you get an easyshare disk….even with a Nikon D300.

All the cheapo-range cameras use sony chips, so you have no choice…

In the top range, nikon currently dominates, as they have several award winning cameras like the d300 and their bodies are weather sealed.

I used to buy canon hardware, but they are falling behind the competition. They have really good customer service though…

They are both great camera makers. You will not really go wrong with either. I am a Nikon person and love the cameras I have gotten from them. Go to DPreview.com or kenrockwell.com and research them then go to the store and get your hands on each to see what you like better

From the researches I have done, Canon tend to out last Nikon – let’s put it that way. My Canons are my oldest cameras that are still working like it was the first time I used them. In the P&S type of cameras, Canon still tend to out last Nikon.
